Meet Joanie Sheridan,
Personal Trainer

Joanie Sheridan, RN, BSN, began her career as a nurse, working in the ICU & ER settings for many years. After taking a break to dedicate time to her four active children, she decided to pursue her personal training certification 14 years ago, through the American Council of Exercise. She has been working in the fitness setting since, with experience training at Wellbridge in Clayton and taking on several individual clients, both in home and corporate settings, blending 25 years+ of nursing experience with her passion for fitness and healthy living. She specializes in educating her clients on how to prevent and/or reverse different medical diagnoses including diabetes (type 2), osteoporosis, and cardiac issues such as high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol. Along her journey, she has studied training techniques for women of all ages - from the young athlete to women undergoing menopause, and beyond.

Joanie’s overall passion lies in educating women to achieve optimal health and wellness in both mind and body.  Whether you are a new mom trying to lose that extra baby weight or someone looking to thrive during all stages of menopause, Joanie will work to provide you with a clear plan and the motivational tools to reach those goals through exercise, nutrition, and relaxation techniques. She is committed to using her nursing knowledge, fitness expertise, and positive energy to make each day a healthy and strong day.

Outside of work Joanie enjoys hiking, yoga, biking, and spending time with her family.
